Bonds to recieve knee transplant from ASIMO

Giants LF Barry Bonds may have settled the debate over whether he’ll be ready for opening day — on Thursday the slugger underwent additional arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. An MRI on Wednesday showed Bonds had suffered further damage after banging the knee on a table in February. Doctors had earlier thought that Bonds was undergoing normal swelling, but the knee did not improve during rehabilitation.

Even with the new procedure, Bond’s trainer, Stan Conte, did not rule out an April 5 start for Bonds. “It would be pretty incredible, but I’ve learned with Barry I never say he can’t do something,” Conte said. “He knows his body and is doing what he thinks is right. I’m simply making suggestions.” That clears up the source of those voices Bonds keeps hearing in his head…
